Moray Women’s Aid offers a free, confidential and non-judgemental, specialist service to women, children and young people in Moray who are or have experienced domestic abuse. Based in Elgin operating from our purpose-built refuge accommodation, we provide support, guidance and accommodation to women, children and young people who are or have experienced domestic abuse throughout Moray. The support can be face to face support or phone support, we will endeavour to support you in the way that meets your needs.
Our services include refuge accommodation, Adult Support Team, Community Outreach and Therapeutic Team and a Children and Young Person Service. We provide both emotional and practical support including 1 to 1 support, groupwork, counselling, risk assessments, safety planning, and sign posting to services that can offer housing advice and debt advice. Our support is trauma informed and strength bases focussing on the individual needs of those we support.
We deliver group work to support resilience and mental wellbeing, including Peer Support, Mindfulness, social groups and activities, and after school club for children and young people.
